Round It Up America

The SERG Group is excitied to be part of Round It Up America! Round It Up America® is a non-profit organization that invites guests of restaurants and retail locations (Mission Partners) to “round up” their checks to the nearest dollar and donate the remaining change to local and national charitable organizations.

Backpack Buddies is part of a national program which was created to help provide nutritious food to grammar school children who qualify for subsidized lunches during the week, but may go hungry on weekends. Approximately 50% of Hilton Head grammar school children meet this criteria and Backpack Buddies of Hilton Head was initiated in 2010 to provide support to these children.

The Port Royal Sound Foundation’s goal is to advance the awareness of the Port Royal Sound and support educational efforts to protect and conserve the environmental, cultural and economic well-being of our local, unique saltmarsh ecosystem. These waters are some of the most pristine in the country, and here at the Port Royal Sound Foundation, we want to keep them that way.

H.O.P.E. stands for Helping Oncology Patients Enjoy Life. Their goal is to provide a niche rehabilitation & wellness service with specialization to the largely under-served cancer patient population. H.O.P.E. is the bridge by offering physical health related services with compassionate individuals who respect and empathize with Cancer “Thrivers” who are struggling with the long-term disabling effects caused by their battle.

The Waddell Mariculture Center is a field experiment station of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and is one of the country’s largest and most sophisticated facilities for mariculture research. Research performed at the center is directed toward the culture and practical production of aquatic species, which are of huge economic importance to the state.

Second Helpings is a nonprofit food rescue and distribution network, helping to eliminate hunger in the Lowcountry. Second Helpings is a major resource for local food pantries and soup kitchens and offers grocery stores a chance at community collaboration. But most importantly, they offer hope, stability and empowerment to people in our community that need help in getting the food they need.

The Outside Foundation’s vision is a healthy and sustainable salt marsh and coastal environment for current and future residents and visitors to the Lowcountry of South Carolina and to involve youth in outdoor experiences designed to raise awareness of and educate them about the importance of a healthy ecosystem.
